With our newsletters we would like to inform you regularly about news in alpha ventus, current RAVE projects and related offshore topics a. We also publish information about publications and events such as our public RAVE FORA and the annual International RAVE Workshops.

The previous RAVE FORUM#4 took place August 24, 2026 with international guests and participants.
Eloy Insunza, a RAVE data user from the Comillas Pontifical University in Madrid gave an impulse on the impact of numerical weather forecasting on wind power forecasting. Here and in the grey box on the right is the invite as download with more information and the link to dial in.
30 participants followed an interesting exchange on Eloy´s work with measurements and machine learning techniques.  Anish Venu, who previously has presented machine learning procedures with RAVE data contributed his epertise to the disussion, accompanied by the experts from DNV supervising and servicing the measurements. The RAVE FORUM#3 took place on February 23rd, 2026 .We hosted the BSH with an impulse talk on the FINO measurement platforms 1, 2 and 3 in the German bight and in the Baltic Sea. This was followed by a vivid discussion on the use of long term meteorological measurements and the future of the FINO platforms between the participants from industry, research & academia and the public authorities. The topic of our RAVE FORUM #2 was "Sea State Measurements and Simulations". BSH and Ludwig-Franzius-Institute provided information which is now available for download.
